Your body just did something extraordinary and it deserves more than a generic six-week clearance. At Dimensions Physical Therapy in Cambridge, we offer one-on-one postpartum care with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in women’s pelvic floor rehab, diastasis recti recovery, and a safe return to the sport and life you love. No referral needed. No insurance hassle. Just real answers and a plan built for you.
Too many postpartum women are told to “just rest” or handed a sheet of generic kegels then left to figure out the rest on their own. You deserve better than that.
You passed your six-week checkup, but you’re still leaking, still in pain, or still afraid to pick up a barbell. A clearance isn’t a recovery plan and living with symptoms isn’t normal, no matter how long ago you gave birth.
Cookie-cutter kegel handouts and 20-minute group sessions don’t account for your body, your birth story, or your goals. Without a proper assessment of your pelvic floor and core coordination, you’re guessing and guessing costs time.
You used to run, lift, or do CrossFit without a second thought. Now every workout comes with anxiety about leaking, prolapse, or making something worse. You shouldn’t have to choose between your health and the activities that make you who you are.
Dimensions Physical Therapy is a one-on-one, self-pay clinic where every visit is a full 60 minutes with Dr. Sarah O’Reilly a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in pelvic health, orthopedics, and sports performance. There are no aides, no handoffs, and no surprise bills. Whether you’re six weeks postpartum or six months out and still not feeling right, we find the root cause and build a plan that keeps you moving forward.
Speak directly with Dr. Sarah not a receptionist, not a bot. Tell her what’s going on, what you’ve tried, and what you want to get back to. If Dimensions PT is the right fit, you’ll schedule your first appointment on the spot. No referral needed in Massachusetts.
Your first session is a comprehensive biomechanical and pelvic floor evaluation we look at your whole body, your birth history, your movement patterns, and your goals. This is how we find the root cause, not just the symptom.
You’ll leave with a clear, individualized care plan that fits around your schedule, your sport, and your recovery stage including a home exercise program via an easy-to-use app. We check in, adjust, and progress with you every step of the way.
From birth recovery to returning to high-level sport, our postpartum physical therapy in Cambridge addresses the full spectrum of issues that arise after pregnancy whether you delivered vaginally or by C-section, weeks ago or years ago.

“I went to Sarah for pelvic floor PT following the birth of my son. She was amazing in helping me achieve my goals. She is very easy to talk to about a sensitive topic and was amazing at working through different ways of explaining the exercises to me. Highly recommend for any Moms going through the “common” but not normal pelvic floor issues following pregnancy/birth!“

“I had the most amazing experience! I came for pelvic floor work during pregnancy and left with exercises and tools to support me now 7 months postpartum. Sarah is extremely helpful and takes all aspects into perspective with her care.“

Still not sure if Dimensions PT is right for you? Here are answers to the questions we hear most from postpartum patients near Cambridge, MA.
No. Massachusetts is a direct-access state, which means you can book an appointment at Dimensions PT without a physician referral. You can call us, request online, or start with a free 15-minute discovery call with Dr. Sarah no paperwork required to get the conversation started.
Dimensions PT is a self-pay clinic with fully transparent pricing. We do not bill insurance directly, but many patients successfully submit receipts to their insurance provider or FSA/HSA for reimbursement. You’ll always know your cost upfront no surprise bills months later.
Your first session begins with a comprehensive assessment we’ll review your birth history, symptoms, movement patterns, and goals. Depending on your presentation, this may include an internal pelvic floor evaluation (performed with your full consent and at your comfort level), core coordination testing, and a movement screen. Every session after that is guided by what we find and what matters most to you.
Yes that’s one of the core principles at Dimensions PT. Dr. Sarah is a CrossFit Level-1 and USAT Level-1 coach, so she builds your rehab around your sport, not against it. The goal is to modify and progress your training safely, not take you off the sidelines indefinitely.
You don’t have to wait for your six-week clearance. Many patients benefit from beginning postpartum PT as early as two to three weeks after a vaginal birth or four to six weeks after a C-section, depending on healing. Early intervention often means a faster, more complete recovery. If you’re unsure about timing, our free discovery call is a great place to start.
Every visit is a full 60 minutes, one-on-one with Dr. Sarah O’Reilly no aides, no techs, no rotating staff. We combine orthopedic, pelvic health, and sports performance expertise under one roof, plus functional medicine nutrition coaching. We’re a self-pay clinic, so we’re accountable to you not to an insurance company’s session limits.
