Starting your day with a morning mobility routine can be a game-changer for your overall health and well-being. A morning mobility routine is a series of exercises that help to loosen up your muscles and joints, increase blood flow, and improve your range of motion. By incorporating a morning mobility routine into your daily routine, you can start your day feeling energized and ready to take on whatever challenges come your way. Including whatever training you have planned for that day.

From being a breastfeeding momma who is starting to develop neck and back tightness all the way to a triathlete who is training hard for a goal- a morning mobility routine can help. Taking those 5-10 minutes to take care of yourself helps to

give you time to practice gratitude

breath deeply

open up tight joints and muscles

reduce stress and improve your mood by releasing endorphins and promoting relaxation

The 10-15 minute routine above is intended to be very personalized to your specific muscle restrictions. What I love about that routine is the freedom to work through the tight spots of your specific joints.

That is certainly different person to person and might even be different day to day for you.

Come to this mobility routine with no judgement on yourself about what you think you should be able to do or comparison to what another person can do.

Welcome the restrictions you feel every morning and move through them as you can being thankful for what your body can do for you

Gradually increase the intensity and duration of your routine as you become more comfortable with the exercises. You can use the one given above or get creative and add in some favorite stretching and yoga poses to further increase your flexibility and mobility. Remember to listen to your body and adjust your routine as needed. By making morning mobility a priority, you can set yourself up for a successful and healthy day ahead. You will take yourself when this becomes part of your normal routine.
